This week’s tip of the week is to get educated about menopause. I recently read the book The New Menopause by Mary Claire Haver. I really hadn’t known much about the effects of menopause (only that I haven’t had hot flashes – don’t hate me). This book helped me understand how every part of a woman’s body is affected by the hormonal changes she undergoes in mid-life. And, even if you are not having hot flashes, you may be having other symptoms that could be caused by your lowering levels of hormones. I’m excited to be a little more proactive with my hormonal health in the coming months and years and think we should all have the information to take better care of ourselves!! So, read this book or another one – but get educated about menopause!!
