Columbia Outerwear is The Best!

If you ask me what brand of coat or jacket to buy, my response will be “Columbia”.  I am a Columbia girl through and through.  I have a Columbia coat, snow pants, boots, beanie, and rain jacket, my children have Columbia coats and some of them have their rain jacket as well.  The reasons for this are two-fold.  One, they make great products.  I live in Minnesota and their winter gear keeps me warm and dry!  Two, let’s face it, things happen and not all materials are bullet proof.  Columbia stands by their outerwear products with a limited lifetime warranty.  Their footwear has a one year warranty.  So if the product has a defect – like the stitching comes undone, or the fabric is no longer waterproof after years of wear, the zipper of a fleece jacket pocket gets stuck with something valuable inside it so you have to cut it open, or the zipper on a several years old coat breaks (all of these have happened to us) then you simply fill out a warranty claim online, wash the product, and ship it to Columbia.  They then inspect your item, review the claim, and in my experience they always send you credit to buy new merchandise.  That credit is now issued electronically which is fabulous.  Now you might say, why buy from Columbia if you’ve had issues with their products?  My view is that I know that if there is an issue I’ll get a replacement. We have received credit to replace items multiple times and have then benefited from their amazing winter sale and have been able to buy more than just a coat for credits that we have received.  In fact, their winter sale where SO many coats are 50% off is going on right now.  Go check it out!
