Best Way to Sew Diagonal Seams

This is a tip of the week – not a lengthy how-to. If you quilt, you have probably needed to sew two squares together diagonally down the middle. I have been doing this for years by drawing a line down the middle of one of the two squares and then sewing down that line. It works. But you might have a ton of them to sew and it can be a little tedious. Enter diagonal seam tape. Diagonal seam tape (affiliate link) is washi tape with three lines printed down it. If you put it on your sewing machine you can line up the diagonal corners of your square and no line needed. It’s literally one of my favorite new quilting tricks!! As an added bonus, the other lines are 1/4″ out so you have a 1/4″ seam guide built in. I’m obsessed.
